Cascade County work session reviews grant, public-health and facilities contracts including Annex roof and maintenance items

At the May 6 work session Cascade County staff reviewed a range of contracts and budget updates including a $606,630 Annex roof contract, public-health contract amendments, an investment agreement with Sun River Valley School District, ExpoPark lighting and mechanical replacements, and a small DEQ air-quality grant. County staff presented and reviewed multiple contracts and budget items during the May 6 Cascade County work session.
Finance/Accounting staff presented Resolution 26-18 to appropriate funds related to the Montana DPHHS Older Americans Act contract and Contract 26-42 (Amendment Four) to align the county FY2026 budget with federal aging funds. Treasury staff Diane Heikkila presented Contract 26-41, an investment agreement with Sun River Valley School District 55 & F running April 14, 2026–June 30, 2031.
Public-health items included Contract 26-43 (amendment to Master Contract HHS-PHSD-00000509 with Montana DPHHS) presented by Kami Stone. Public Works presented several facilities and maintenance contracts: Contract 26-44, a five-year parking-lot license with SRD Properties (monthly fee $650, increasing $25 annually); Contract 26-46 with Blue Ribbon Electric to replace 30 ExpoPark light heads (total $20,500); Contract 26-47 with Falls Mechanical to replace a penthouse hot water heater with two on-demand units (total $31,240); and Contract 26-49 with AT Klemens for the Cascade County Annex roof project (total $606,630).
The Sheriff’s Office presented Contract 26-45, the fifth amendment to the master services agreement with Securus Technologies (term May 12, 2026–September 25, 2028). An add-on, Contract 26-48, was described by Trisha Gardner as a DEQ Air Quality Grant (total federal funding $23,410; annual $11,705, renewable) to assist county air-quality compliance activities.
