City Recorder Allison Leavitt told the council that the Cross Connection Ordinance requires periodic review and had not been updated since 2019. She said the Department of Water Quality would be conducting a Sanitary Survey on May 20 and the ordinance was among items the state will review.
Councilmember Perry Payne moved to adopt Ordinance 5 01 2026 (Cross Connection Ordinance). Councilmember Jason Bagley seconded the motion, and a roll-call vote recorded unanimous approval by Councilmembers Bagley, Barney, Johnson and Payne.
Leavitt said the update ensures the city meets state expectations ahead of the scheduled survey.
