Park East Construction and H2 Webb Architects presented the monthly capital‑project report, saying phase 1 is closed and phase 2 remains active with multiple workstreams across the high‑school addition and interior renovations.
Contractors reported that the addition and alterations are nearing substantial completion (addition ~85% complete; alterations about 97% near finish) and interior renovations are ongoing (reported around 40% for current interior phases). The district had previously shown a budget surplus close to $4,000,000; presenters said much of that was allocated to planned items including a high‑school storage garage and technology purchases, with a $500,000 set‑aside for the garage.
Architects described technical details raised by board members: a required fire separation between the new addition and existing building, a coping installation and central roof drains with tapered insulation to manage water, and newly added floor drains for the planned aquaponics lab. On electrical and safety questions, a contractor said he would "confirm with the electrical engineer" on receptacle placements and GFCI needs.
Board members requested a more granular schedule ahead of July updates to show which work will be completed during school breaks and which will occur over the next 18 months. Contractors reiterated a September 2027 target date for full project completion but said some elements could finish sooner.
