The Ephraim City Council approved a $2,500 contribution from the Council discretionary budget to the Sanpete Chamber of Commerce to support the July 25 America 250 celebration.
Shari Anderson of the Chamber presented event plans that include vendors, food trucks, a band (identified in the meeting record as Phat Old Professors), and laser-tag. The Chamber requested city assistance specifically to help pay for the band and laser-tag activities; the council voted to fund the request and directed staff to distribute the funds and ensure City support and recognition in event advertising and a booth presence.
The contribution will be processed from the Council discretionary budget; no ordinance or formal grant agreement was recorded in the meeting minutes.
