The administrator said staff recently attended a Wisconsin Department of Revenue walkthrough of the application process and that the consortium work has involved frequent intermunicipal coordination. Officials estimated potential program costs could be up to $2.5 million and said any of the three partner communities could serve as the grant applicant.
Legal counsel for the participating municipalities will draft the IGA, which administrators aim to complete in time to seek board approvals and file the application during the final week of March. The administrator asked trustees to share availability for potential late-March meetings to consider the IGA draft.
Next steps: draft IGA to be circulated to administrators and legal counsel; trustee calendars to be collected for possible special meetings in late March so an application can be filed.
