The Town of Fenton Town Board unanimously adopted a Disaster Emergency Preparedness Plan on April 29 following a public hearing that drew no speakers for or against the proposal. Supervisor David Gunster opened the hearing and read the public-notice language before accepting comments; none were offered.
Town Attorney Richard H. Miller said state statute requires the Board to hold a public hearing on the plan. Supervisor Gunster added a revision page to the document for future reference. Councilman Richard Pray asked that his cell phone number listed in the plan be changed to the Town phone number; Building Inspector Matt Banks confirmed his personal cell number had been removed from the draft.
Deputy Supervisor Thomas Moss moved to approve the Disaster Emergency Preparedness Plan with the correction to Councilman Pray’s phone number; Councilman Michael Husar seconded the motion. The Board approved the plan on a unanimous roll call vote.
The adopted plan is available for inspection at the Town Clerk’s office during regular business hours, and the Board indicated the revision page will assist with future updates.
