Woodstock Conservation Commission asks Select Board to release climbing Appendix B for public comment

A representative of the Woodstock Conservation Commission asked the Select Board to release Appendix B, the climbing portion of the commission’s management plan, for public comment. The commission said stakeholders — including the Society for the Preservation of New Hampshire Forests and the Central New Hampshire Climbing Association — will receive the draft and that written comments will be accepted through April 30, with the commission planning to review submissions at its May 14 meeting.

The commission representative said the process will replicate the earlier management‑plan outreach and noted that comments must be submitted in writing (by mail, dropoff at the town office, or email to the commission’s account). Board members agreed to allow distribution of the draft for public comment, offered help with a town social‑media post to increase notice, and asked for verbiage the town can use for posting.

The Select Board’s release will enable formal written comment and outreach to stakeholders and interested residents; the commission said it will also provide printed copies to interested parties and post a link on the town website.
