Chelsea City Council approved a second-reading amendment to the Official Zoning Map on Aug. 22, rezoning three parcels (06-06-12-325-025; 06-06-12-325-026; 06-06-12-325-027) from R-3 (multi-family residential) to R-2 (two-family residential).
Interim Planner Gorenflo presented the rezoning request submitted by applicant Jess Spike and noted the parcels have frontage on Cleveland Street and West Middle Street. The Planning Commission had recommended approval of the change.
Council Member Bill Ruddock moved to approve the second reading; Mayor Pro-Tem Tony lannelli seconded. The motion passed by a unanimous vote of those present. The minutes record the vote as “All Ayes.”
The rezoning shifts the property’s allowable use from multi-family structures to two-family dwellings; Council did not record any additional conditions in the motion. The City will reflect the map amendment in its official zoning records.
No public comment on the rezoning is recorded in the meeting minutes. The council’s action completes the second reading of the amendment and implements the Planning Commission’s recommendation.
The council adjourned at 8:55 p.m.
