Dean Turner was appointed chairman of the Forks Township Board of Supervisors at the Jan. 5, 2026 reorganizational meeting after a motion by Supervisor Amy Blum that was seconded by Supervisor Derek Hughes. Solicitor L. Pereira called for the vote, and Turner assumed the chair and thanked the board.
The board then considered two nominations for vice-chair. John O'Neil nominated Supervisor Ty Corallo; that nomination failed on a roll-call vote (Blum: no; Corallo: yes; Hughes: no; O'Neil: yes; Turner: no). Derek Hughes nominated Amy Blum for vice-chair, and the second roll-call vote elected her (Blum: yes; Corallo: no; Hughes: yes; O'Neil: no; Turner: yes).
The votes were taken at the start of the reorganizational meeting as part of the board's establishment of officers for 2026. Following the votes, the board proceeded with the evening's agenda of appointments and administrative items.
