The Patton Township Board of Supervisors approved a new two-year employment agreement for Township Manager Amy Farkas at its Jan. 5, 2026 reorganizational meeting. Under the agreement the manager’s base salary increases to $155,000 and the township will increase its deferred compensation contribution to the manager’s 457 account from 10% of salary to 12%. The agreement, negotiated by the Board and manager, expires Jan. 3, 2028. The Board noted that Pennsylvania law restricts municipal manager employment agreements to terms of two years.
The motion to approve the agreement was moved by Supervisor Heidi Miller, seconded by Supervisor Pamela Robb, and passed unanimously (5-0). Sultan Magruder said he was "glad that we are compensating Ms. Farkas for the quality of work that she provides to the Township," reflecting support among members present. The packet included a copy of the draft agreement; the Board provided no additional amendments during the meeting. Implementation steps include execution of the agreement and noting the change in Manager Farkas’s subsequent personnel records and payroll.
