Antrim Township elects 2026 leadership, reappoints solicitors and commission members

At its Jan. 5 organizational meeting the Antrim Township Board of Supervisors appointed John Alleman as chair for 2026, named Chad Murray vice chair, affirmed the new supervisor, and reappointed solicitors, engineers and multiple board members in unanimous votes.
The Antrim Township Board of Supervisors elected John Alleman as chairman for 2026 at its organizational meeting on Jan. 5. The full board — supervisors Pat Heraty, Chad Murray, Fred Young and John Alleman, and newly affirmed Supervisor Jaysen Cochran — approved the chair appointment by a 5-0 vote after affirming Cochran’s election to a six-year term expiring Jan. 1, 2032.
The board also named Chad Murray as vice chairman and reaffirmed Jennifer Becknell as treasurer and secretary (bond renewed at $3 million). Crystal Mummert was appointed assistant secretary. Those officer motions passed unanimously. The board additionally reappointed multiple members to standing township bodies, including Delbert Myers and Larson Wenger to the Planning Commission, members of the Park Committee, and Tyler Jones and Gary Eberly to the Zoning Hearing Board, with terms recorded in the minutes.
The supervisors reappointed legal counsel and approved outside counsel arrangements for 2026. John Lisko was reappointed township solicitor at $160 per hour; Zachary Mills was reappointed solicitor to the Planning Commission at $130 per hour; and Linus Fenicle (Smigel, Anderson & Sacks LLP) was named solicitor to the Zoning Hearing Board at $175 per hour. The board also authorized use of additional attorneys as needed for labor, bankruptcy and bonding/financing matters and approved Martin & Martin, Dewberry, GHD and C.S. Davidson as township engineers at each firm’s 2026 rate sheet.
Why it matters: leadership, solicitor and engineer appointments determine which firms and officials represent the township on legal, planning and capital projects for the year, and the board’s unanimous approvals set staffing and counsel arrangements without dissent.
What’s next: the board left one Comprehensive Plan Review representative unfilled to appoint when necessary.
