Board clears liquor‑license transfer for Valley Square restaurant project; proponents plan family‑focused dining with simulators

The Warrington Board of Supervisors voted June 24 to consider and approve an intermunicipal transfer of a restaurant liquor license for a planned restaurant in Valley Square Shopping Center.

Attorney Ed McHugh, representing WAR R1508 LLC, described the application and introduced one of the principals, Mr. Krinis. McHugh said the proposed operation will occupy the former Bar Louie location at 1500 Main Street; the tenant and landlord anticipate about $1 million in mostly aesthetic improvements and estimate roughly 150 indoor dining seats, about 60 seats at the bar and approximately 60 outdoor seats.

The applicants said the establishment will be family oriented, will require managers and servers to complete the Pennsylvania Responsible Alcohol Management Program, and will use transactional ID scanners to reduce underage service. They also said they do not plan regular live bands or DJs and that any rare special‑event entertainment would be limited to one or two occasions per year.

Board members asked about the golf/sports simulators that may be included; the applicants said those would operate by reservation in private rooms and not as open‑floor entertainment, and they emphasized there will be on‑site supervision and incident reporting protocols if customers are injured.

The board voted to approve consideration of the transfer and indicated a signed resolution would be provided once the paperwork is completed. The supervision vote carried with no public parties requesting party status at the hearing.
