On senior services, Izzo reported monthly birthday celebrations, ongoing meal programming, and approximately 1,100 active memberships. He said the department is researching pool-table maintenance and that two part-time chefs are in the pre-employment process.
Assistant Director Nally Sahin summarized recent events and programs (Snow Topia, Toddler Open Gym, Community Playgroup), announced that summer and specialty camp registration opens March 2, and noted that the department is researching possible locations for a disc-golf course and continuing to evaluate recreation offerings.
Under old business the board discussed a request from a local pickleball group seeking permanent outdoor courts and continued discussion about pricing for courts; the minutes record discussion but no motion or vote to authorize construction or a pricing plan.
