Avon Board of Assessment Appeals elects Chelsea Ross chair and Jeffrey Maguire vice-chair

The Town of Avon Board of Assessment Appeals unanimously elected Chelsea Ross as chair and Jeffrey Maguire as vice-chair at a March 2 meeting that opened at 6:30 p.m.
The board, whose members present were Erin Dawson, Mike Guerrera, Jeffrey Maguire, Nathan Mahoney and Chelsea Ross, voted first to elect Ross as chair. Jeffrey Maguire moved the nomination and Mike Guerrera seconded it; the motion passed unanimously. The board then elected Maguire as vice-chair on a motion by Chelsea Ross, seconded by Mike Guerrera; that vote was also unanimous.
The elections were procedural and set the board’s leadership for handling pending appeals. There were no substantive policy votes tied to the officer elections at the meeting.
The board proceeded to consider two appeals after completing the officer elections and adjourned at 8:20 p.m.
