Avon PZC grants one-year extension for 60 Security Drive, accepts FY26/27 CIP
Summary
At its April 21 meeting the Avon Planning and Zoning Commission unanimously approved a one-year extension for Apps 5068-69 (60 Security Drive) and accepted the FY26/27 Capital Improvement Program as not in conflict with the 2016 POCD.
During other business at the April 21 meeting the commission approved by unanimous vote a one-year extension for Apps 5068-69 (60 Security Drive). Applicant Shane Batchelor told the commission the project is mid-architectural design and requested the additional time.
Commissioner Christine Graesser moved to accept the FY26/27 Capital Improvement Program as not in conflict with the 2016 Plan of Conservation & Development; the motion, seconded by Commissioner Christopher White, passed unanimously.
Staff updates noted ongoing activity at 20 Security Drive (Beacon Communities — foundation and framing underway), the opening of Doro Marketplace at 300 West Main and the forthcoming opening of Progression Brewing Co. No additional action was taken on those items at the meeting.
