School building committee says consultants onboarded, aims for June 30 grant window

Mr. Marshall said the team is also conducting property due diligence, including updated environmental site assessments for the whole-school site, and vetting alternate sites to determine feasibility within the grant and scheduling constraints. He said the goal is to provide voters cost-effective, well-vetted options and noted that legislative changes related to early-childhood education and construction cost limits may affect per-square-foot calculations and reimbursement rules.
The board was urged to help spread awareness and to expect rapid ramp-up of public engagement workshops and information sessions over the next month. Mr. Marshall stressed the importance of community feedback during early design work so residents can assess cost and program trade-offs; he said the committee will present options and more precise fiscal impacts as analyses are completed.
