Festival organizers (Chris Badami and Cotti Roberts) said the closure plan is unchanged from the prior year: the south half of the block will close earlier for stage and tent setup, while the north half of the block will remain open longer and close at 10 a.m. Friday to reduce business disruption. Organizers said they notified businesses months in advance last year and will provide copies of their layout and business-notification diagrams again this year.
Officials discussed logistics including maintaining a 16-by-16-foot clearance for emergency vehicles and adding barricades at both ends of the closed block to direct foot traffic to corner entrances. The street department confirmed it could provide the needed barricades and clearances. The board approved the closure plan, noting coordination between organizers and city departments would continue ahead of the festival.
