Council approves class-one liquor license for Lowlight LLC at 211 Main Street

The Wayne City Council unanimously approved Resolution 2026-31 granting a class-one liquor license to Lowlight LLC, doing business as Low Light Bar and Lounge, for premises at 211 Main Street.
Lake Allen, who identified herself for the record, and co-owner Harley Allen described plans to open the bar and lounge in July. Lake Allen said both owners are alcohol-service certified (ServeSafe); she also noted she is food-handler certified through work at the local schools. The applicants said they are renting the building previously occupied by Blends and Boards and that initial service will be indoors, with no outdoor service at opening.
Council closed the public hearing after the applicants spoke and took a roll-call vote to adopt the resolution. The council passed the measure unanimously.
The applicants said remaining steps include ordering equipment, completing inspections and finalizing the liquor license paperwork. The resolution grants the class-one license (beer, wine and spirits on sale only) for the stated address.
