The board was told a new public-works employee (Steph) started work recently and will assist with street repairs alongside existing crew. Staff said they expect to bring the hot asphalt trailer back into full use for patching and that a training schedule for new personnel is underway.
Staff also described a new 'Pothole Killer' online form that residents can use to report locations; the form will email submissions to public-works staff. The city’s updated website is loaded and ready, but staff said the site must finish background steps and a domain change to .gov before it goes live.
Board members discussed problem streets, potential chip-seal or grinding options for areas that may require reconstruction, and the need to obtain contractor estimates for larger roadway work. Staff said they will gather bids and report back at a future meeting.
