Jusseaume said she and her five siblings — "all six of us" — were born and raised at 24 Viola Street in Lowell and that grandchildren and great-grandchildren were present in the family’s remembrance. "Our dad, Sergeant Edmond Joseph Sharon, was a member of the United States Marine Corps during World War II," she said.
Before introducing her family, Jusseaume thanked Mr. Eric LaMarche, the city’s Veteran Services Director, "for organizing this most worthy Hometown Heroes Remembrance," noting the event’s role in honoring local veterans. The remarks were delivered as part of the program’s public-comment/presentation portion.
The ceremony highlighted family testimony and local recognition rather than official actions or votes. Organizers and other participants are expected to continue community remembrance activities as scheduled.
