The DuBois City Council approved a conditional-use permit allowing an accounting business to operate as a home occupation at 19 Tower Lane in an R1 residential district.
Staff and the Planning Commission told the council the request met required criteria: the activity will be conducted wholly within the dwelling; no more than 25% of floor area will be used; only one nonresident employee would be allowed; adequate off-street parking exists; no exterior signs will be displayed; and no dangerous effluent will be discharged to the sanitary sewer.
The council voted to follow the Planning Commission and city engineer recommendations and approved the conditional use with the stated limits.
