Representatives from the city's public-safety partners presented monthly reports to the council.
A contracted public-safety presenter reported a range of call volumes (one presenter noted 524 calls for service for a stated month), and a subsequent deputy-style report cited 863 calls for the past month, including increases in physical arrests and property-crime counts. The presenter warned residents about unlocked cars: "about 90% of those thefts were from unlocked cars," and urged locking vehicles and removing valuables.
Captain Robert Sigma of the Mountain House Fire Department reported the department responded to 98 calls in September and highlighted community programs including fire-prevention month assemblies, CPR and Stop-the-Bleed classes, the new recruit academy and participation in community events such as homecoming parades.
Council thanked the presenters; these were informational items with no council action taken.
