At its regular meeting the Boonton Township Board of Education approved a suite of routine items across board business, facilities, finance, personnel and program committees and then moved into closed session for student matters.
Board business items 1–3 were adopted by voice vote. Later in the meeting the board approved facilities motion one and finance motions 1–11 by voice vote. Personnel motions 1–14 were adopted by roll-call vote; the clerk recorded the roll-call results with all present members voting yes on the personnel slate.
The board also approved program motion number one and heard a brief introduction of a newly hired professional, Dr. Martin, who said he looks forward to joining the district and meeting students, staff and families.
After routine committee reports and the votes, the board unanimously voted to enter closed session to discuss student matters; no public actions were scheduled after reconvening.
