Members suggested involving mechanics and foremen as technical resources at key meetings rather than as standing members.
Council President Brian Larson and Mayor Mark Goldstead both supported the ad hoc approach, with the council president noting that any tie or unresolved issue could be escalated to the president or mayor. Staff said they would return with a recommended committee composition and timeline for completing the policy.
