Ender Austin elected chair; committee recommends two applicants to Clark County School District board

In the religion category, Rodney Poping was nominated. Nominations were closed and another roll-call vote recorded four 'aye' votes from the same members; the committee recommended Rodney Poping to the board.
Motions recorded at the meeting included the adoption of the May 28 agenda (mover: Ender Austin; seconder: Lindsay Dally), approval of the Oct. 16 minutes (mover: Lindsay Dally; seconder: Marie Solomon) and the two recommendation votes listed above. Vote tallies recorded in the meeting files show each of the candidate-recommendation votes carried with four affirmative votes and no oppositions noted.
"So thank you for the confidence of my esteemed peers in this great and grave responsibility," the member identified in the record as the Moderator said after the chair vote, expressing appreciation for the committee's support.
The committee closed the meeting after an adjournment motion was made and seconded and a final voice vote approving adjournment was recorded.
