At its meeting, the Show Low City Council recognized several community events and achievements. Mrs. Hall described the Kids ROCK (Kids Reach Out for Community Knowledge) program for third graders and announced poster contest winners: Eli Bennett (4th place), Samantha Tippets (3rd), Addison Solless (2nd) and Vincent Apadaka (1st).
Mrs. Hall also announced Harper Reed Head as the 2026 Xolo Rodeo Queen; the council noted the rodeo's long local tradition and that the queen will serve as an ambassador in the coming year. The vice mayor presented a service award honoring Kathleen Harvey for nearly 39 years with the local Head Start program.
During public comment, Mr. Roberts promoted a car‑show cruise and a Friday night Burger Burn hosted by Hatch Toyota followed by a Saturday car show at Frontier Fields. The city manager and mayor closed with community announcements including the Main Street farmers market (Saturdays 9 a.m.–1 p.m.), the Lynen Valley Arena rodeo (June 5–6) and a city project clean‑up/bulky pickup (June 1–5). The mayor adjourned the meeting.
