The Show Low City Council unanimously approved awarding the 2026 annual slurry-seal construction contract (Project 5005791) to American Pavement Preservation LLC for an amount not to exceed $629,462.
City staff said the project includes furnishing labor, materials, traffic control and related incidentals to place approximately 284,000 square yards of slurry seal on designated city streets and parking lots and about 21,000 square yards of seal coat on city pathways. The work also includes replacing striping and pavement markings after the surface treatments cure.
"Staff recommends awarding the construction contract for the annual slurry seal 2026 City of Show Low Project 5005791 to American Pavement Preservation LLC for an amount not to exceed $629,462," Mr. Reid told the council as he outlined the bid results and engineer's estimate ($636,800).
Three bids were received; staff recommended the lowest responsive bidder. The council voted to award the contract and directed staff to draft a standard city agreement and return with the final contract documents.
