Planning board endorses ANR to create new lot at 733 Main Street

The Acushnet Planning Board voted Sept. 4 to endorse an approval-not-required plan that creates a new lot at 733 Main Street.
John Romanelli of Zenith Land Surveyors LLC, representing property owner Carol Lauro, told the board the new parcel (shown on the plan as 23G) meets the town’s buildable-box requirement. "It's exactly 150 wide, but it's 319 feet long," Romanelli said, and he told members the site is upland with no wetlands shown on the plan.
Board members asked standard questions about frontage, setbacks and the plan depiction; Romanelli noted prior cuts to the original farm parcel and said the owner retains several acres after the split. A board member moved to endorse the ANR plan and the board voted in favor.
The endorsement recorded by the board permits the applicant to record the lot split at the registry of deeds; Romanelli and the owner will coordinate any subsequent zoning or permitting steps (for example, building permits) with town staff. The board did not attach special conditions to the endorsement.
The board continued with other agenda items after the vote.
