Playland owner urges Old Bridge families to try indoor play center

Oxana Maximyuk, owner of Playland and a nurse, said she opened the indoor children's play center in Old Bridge to provide a clean, safe place where children can be active and social year-round. "I chose to open my business in Old Bridge because I felt like a perfect community for a family," she said.

Maximyuk told attendees that Playland was designed with families in mind and built to be "a second home for our community." She said the facility offers age-appropriate activities, including open play, themed events, classes and birthday celebrations meant to encourage movement, creativity and social interaction.

"Playland is a clean, safe, and welcoming indoor play space designed for children to explore, imagine, and have fun," Maximyuk said. She described open play as her favorite activity to watch because it lets children "explore freely, making new friends, and just being kids."

Maximyuk outlined recurring programs at Playland: an art-and-craft class every Friday at 11:00, a monthly photo-shoot day for families, and occasional character events. She emphasized customer service as central to the business, saying a great experience means each person "feels welcomed, listened to, and cared for in a clean environment with a friendly staff."

Identifying herself as a mother and small business owner, Maximyuk said running Playland grew out of her parenting experience and a desire to create a dependable, indoor option for families regardless of weather. She closed by inviting families to visit: "So, if you're looking for a great place to [bring] your kids to have fun, get some exercise, and be creative, come to Playland. We hope to see you soon."
