Linton RDC approves spending plan, discusses earmarking $25,000 for downtown projects

The commission also discussed earmarking funds to ensure availability for larger infrastructure needs downtown or in development areas behind the Walmart corridor. One proposal suggested reserving $25,000 as an initial earmark for phase one of a downtown improvement project; commissioners characterized the proposal as intentionally vague but consistent with the RDC's development plan. Members agreed to refine the allocation and plan as part of next year's work program.
