La Porte lake association outlines milfoil treatment plan and funding needs

Jeff described the lake association's funding model: business memberships are $150 per year and residential memberships are $50 per year; funding also comes from donations. He said membership is open to residents and nonresidents who use or enjoy the lake.
The commission noted that the association will host a public meeting at FaZe Marina on June 16 at 6 p.m. to present treatment details and final cost estimates. Commissioners encouraged interested residents to attend; no city appropriation or formal city action was proposed at the May meeting.
