Bradley Beach swears in probationary officer Giana Trainy

The Bradley Beach Borough Council moved to approve Resolution 2025-228 and swore in probationary police officer Giana Trainy at its July 1 meeting.
Chief Arnold introduced Trainy, saying she joined the department in 2023 as a class one officer, served as a police dispatcher, graduated in May 2024 as a class two officer and “came out number one” in the recent hiring process. After the council vote to approve the appointment, Trainy took the oath of office and said, “I would just like to thank the mayor and the council for their decision on hiring me. I'm really excited to work here.”
Mayor Guboszi moved the resolution and the council registered an affirmative roll call. Council members and the mayor congratulated Trainy and invited family and officers in the audience to step forward. The council did not take other personnel actions at the meeting.
Trainy’s swearing-in capped a brief ceremonial opening to a meeting that then advanced to capital projects and routine business.
