Staff said a truck visible in recent photos appears functional but that prior notice and an enforcement order were on file; the board directed staff to tag the vehicles and pursue towing if they are not removed.
On a long-standing case at 89 Southeast 6th Street (Roger Gerald/Alice Zimmerman referenced as owners), staff reported no demolition bids had been received in time to open at this meeting. A board member moved "I'll make the motion we extend the deadline at 89 Southeast 6th Street in Linton to get bids to open in the October meeting." The motion was seconded and the board approved the extension, giving staff time to solicit bids and return to the board with responses.
The board also reviewed mowing needs for multiple lots, including 1496 Street SW and a lot behind the boat shop. Staff said they would first check whether city equipment (Tom) could safely perform the work; if not, they would solicit private bids and award to the lowest responsive bidder. Members discussed past mowing costs (roughly $300–$340) and noted the city’s informal $500 threshold for awarding small cleanups without additional board action.
