Harrison County approves consent agenda, awards contracts and authorizes equipment purchases

Taylor Road and Haley Ridge road/bridge replacement projects as complete, releasing Beacon Construction LLC and Key LLC from further obligations.
The board also awarded construction contracts at the Harrison County Fairgrounds (a service facility contract to Climber Contracting for $249,770 and a warm-up arena extension award listed at $439,870), approved a change order adding 50 days to the Beach Outfall improvements with Gulf Reese Construction due to material delays, and authorized apparatus purchases for five new fire trucks under a state contract.
Other consent items approved included a Motorola Vigilant commercial data subscription for the intel division ($11,250), purchase of two additional mobile license plate readers for $17,680, a 2026 Ford F-150 for the sheriff's office via state contract, and a three-year renewal with Nearmap for countywide aerial imagery (staff cited an annual rate near $52,829.03). Several items produced questions from supervisors about bid-tabulation inconsistencies; staff said they would follow up on those discrepancies.
