The Silver Spring Township Board of Supervisors approved multiple land-development and waiver requests during its June 26 meeting, including a construction modification for a Taco Bell site, a waiver for the Costco land-development plan and a driveway waiver for a private property on Woods Drive.
Township Engineer Aaron Moyer outlined the Taco Bell (6520 Carlisle Pike) construction modification, which revises outlet control structure discharges. On a Lenker/Griffie motion, the board approved the modification.
Colliers Engineering representative Chris Riggle explained a waiver request for the Costco plan at the intersection of Hempt Road and Carlisle Pike asking for two additional inlets tied into a bypass system. On a Griffie/Brown motion the board approved the waiver as presented.
Property owner Dakota Willman requested to relocate an existing driveway and tie into a joint-use driveway used by four adjacent properties. The board approved the driveway waiver on a Lenker/Griffie motion.
The board also approved the final subdivision plan for Jay G. & Dyana J. Penica (parcel consolidation and one new lot) and multiple associated waivers, contingent on widening the Stillmeadows Lane entrance onto Wertzville Road to 26 feet wide and 40 feet deep. That approval was contingent on the entrance widening requirement and carried on a Brown/Griffie motion.
Most land-development motions were recorded as “motion carried” in the meeting minutes; specific vote tallies were not provided for these items.
