Great Neck district approves 2026–27 school budget; board accepts vote and reads trustee tallies

The Great Neck Union Free School District Board of Education announced on May 19 that voters approved the district—s 2026–27 school budget and two related propositions, and the board accepted the trustee-election tallies as read by the district clerk.

Madam Clerk read the official tallies: Proposition One (2026—627 school district budget) passed, 1,979 to 580; Proposition Two (to expend the 2024 capital reserve fund) passed, 2,030 to 570; and Proposition Three (the 2026—627 public library budget) passed, 1,861 to 677.
