Wagoner council approves contractor payments, authorizes street-overlay bids and budget amendments

The Wagoner City Council on May 4 approved multiple contractor pay applications, authorized upcoming bids for street overlays and park improvements, declared surplus fire-department equipment for auction, and adopted supplemental budget amendments.

Council approved contractor pay application number one for $49,740 to R&H Solutions LLC for Civic Center exterior painting per Infrastructure Solutions Group’s recommendation. The council also approved contractor pay application number 10 for $187,157.48 to Darris Contractors LLC for the wastewater treatment plant headworks, a progress pay application that staff reported is advancing well.

Council authorized advertising and receiving bids for the 2026 street overlay and park improvements, which staff said includes street work in Maple Park, a parking lot at Lincoln Park, and stormwater/asphalt work on Martin Luther King and Van Buren funded from separate city sources. The council said bids will return with award recommendations once evaluated.

The council declared a long list of fire-department items — including mowers, winch equipment, detectors, paint guns and other tools — as surplus and authorized disposal or auction. Finally, council adopted a resolution approving budget amendments for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2026 to account for supplemental appropriations from unanticipated revenue.
