Janice thanked trustees, staff and families and reflected on 36 years in education. “I look forward to handing the baton off to the next superintendent who gets to start the next hundred years of success and greatness,” he said.
The board then recognized district spelling‑bee champions from grades four through eight, announced placements and invited students and parents to a group photo with trustees. Trustees encouraged students to celebrate their achievement and invited winners to accept ice cream following the meeting.
