She said the district did not apply to a state pilot program that allows up to 10% non‑certified hires and that induction and certification supports remain a priority.
Miss Keller named two teachers who completed certification this year and said the district is continuing recruitment to fill certified vacancies. Board members praised HR’s recruitment work and asked staff to provide comparative certification rates for neighboring districts at a future meeting.
The policies and staffing updates were presented as part of the superintendent’s report; members did not take separate votes on staffing items beyond the personnel decisions later approved after executive session.
