Board recognizes five teachers earning continuing contracts

Andrea Dwenger, a math teacher at Heskett Middle School, was noted for her master's degree in math curriculum and prior roles as math coach and recipient of a Paul Hilty Teacher Grant. Nicole Hannon, a second'grade teacher with eight years in Bedford City Schools, was noted for leadership in PBIS and curriculum adoption work. Amanda Rosenberg (not present) was recognized for special education leadership, dyslexia certification and work on the reading achievement plan. Kimberly Manningham'Ford, an intervention specialist in the PAW program, was recognized for multiple roles across grade levels and involvement in district committees.
Board members congratulated the teachers and presented certificates after the meeting; staff noted certificates and refreshments were available for teachers to collect.
No formal votes were recorded specifically to grant the continuing contracts at this meeting; the recognition was part of the presentations and announcements.
