Mr. Anderson, chairing the superintendent evaluation committee, reported March 9 that nine of nine Grand Forks city board members completed the evaluation and the committee reviewed narrative commentary and a scoring rubric. Committee members noted the strategic plan was reflected in the evaluation and described both strengths and areas for growth.
Dr. Brenner addressed the board, summarizing domain scores (committee‑reported averages ranged roughly from 3.38 to 3.69 on a 1–4 scale) and highlighting communication and collaboration as strengths and school‑district culture and student achievement as growth areas. Board members discussed the evaluation format, including the value of a tool that allows saving and returning to responses and suggestions to add peer, parent and subordinate perspectives in a broader 360‑style review.
The board moved to accept the committee’s recommendation and, by roll call, found the superintendent’s performance to be "satisfactory" (nine yes, zero no).
