San Creek International students showcase learning as board honors charter leader

San Creek International students and staff took the spotlight at the Harrison School District No. 2 Board of Education meeting on April 16, with a student-led pledge and presentations about school programs and achievement.
Principal Amy Nun introduced students who described the school’s supports and programs, saying San Creek serves 539 students — 370 in elementary grades and 169 in middle school — and that in 2025 multiple grade levels met or exceeded district expectations on ELA and math growth measures. "At San Creek, we work hard every day to grow in math and ELA while also being kind and caring leaders," a student presenter said.
Board members praised the students and staff for performance and culture, while Principals and teachers were commended for their instructional focus. Presenters noted the middle school offers more than 30 electives across design, arts, physical education and world language to expand student choice.
During the same agenda segment, the board presented an award to Zach McCamzi, identified in the meeting as founder and CEO of the Legacy Institute and an early architect of Atlas Prep. Board members credited his partnership with district programs including D2 Promise and praised his work serving students from diverse backgrounds.
Student representative Sierra gave a brief report on district testing and activities: recent CMAS science, ongoing SAT/PSAT testing, upcoming AP exams in May, spring senior nights on April 21–22 and prom on April 24 (theme: "Golden Gala"). She said two students, including Logan Aro, will represent Colorado at America's AI Youth Festival in Boston to help draft national AI policy proposals.
The board took no formal action on the presentation but captured the school’s academic results and recognized staff and community partnerships.
