Town manager Miss Morris told the Board of Mayor and Aldermen that the town met with agency representatives regarding a consent order and a corrective action plan tied to a public works/utility matter. The corrective action plan must be submitted by March 24; once the plan is approved, the town has up to 120 days to complete required repairs.
“Repairs are to be completed within 120 days upon submission and approval of the corrective action plan,” Miss Morris said, noting the submission deadline and the 120-day completion window. She said staff are finalizing the plan and that exact start dates will be known only once the plan is approved by the reviewing agency.
Board members requested copies of correspondence and supporting documents and asked staff to provide the board with copies of emails or mailed consent-order materials so members can track compliance deadlines. Miss Morris said the consent order documents were transmitted by mail and that staff would gather and circulate materials where possible.
The board directed staff to continue work on the plan and to report back with the approved corrective action plan and a timeline for repairs.
