Park Hill Board certifies April election, swears in two members and elects officers

At its April 16, 2026 meeting, the Park Hill Board of Education unanimously certified the official results of the April 7 general municipal election as submitted by the Platte County Board of Election Commissioners and swore in two newly elected members.
The board voted 6-0 to accept and certify the election results. Alexia Norris and Janice Bowlin were sworn in by Tina Freeman; Deanna Munoz was absent from the meeting and was previously sworn in on April 13. “I do,” Norris and Bowlin said when asked to affirm the oath.
Why it matters: The certification completes the formal election process for the district’s recent municipal vote and sets the membership for the coming year. After the oath, the board moved into its annual reorganization to elect officer positions for the 2026–2027 term.
During the reorganization, Ms. Woodley was nominated and elected board president for the term running to the April 2027 reorganization meeting. Daryl Terwilliger was nominated and elected vice president. Harrison Todd was nominated to continue as board treasurer for the July 15, 2026–July 15, 2027 term and was re-elected. The board also appointed Tina Freeman as board secretary for July 15, 2026–July 15, 2027. Each of these officer votes was recorded as carried by the board.
The board selected Alexia Norris to serve as a delegate to the Missouri School Boards Association and chose Janice Bolen as the alternate delegate; both motions carried. All officer and delegate votes recorded in the meeting were approved without recorded opposition.
Board President Woodley opened the meeting and led procedural items. Board members offered brief remarks welcoming the newly sworn trustees; Norris thanked the board and community for their support after being sworn in.
The board will next convene for its regular April 23 meeting, when several information items presented as first reads at this session will return for action.
The meeting adjourned at 6:51 p.m.
