After returning from closed session, the El Campo ISD Board of Trustees reviewed the district’s recommended contract offers for certified teachers for the 2026–2027 school year and the related letters of reasonable assurance. The board stated recommended contracts will be issued the next day and that recipients will have until May 10 to return signed documents as required.
The board also relayed several calendar and community items: a Summer Leadership Institute scheduled for June 10–13, upcoming celebrations and award ceremonies, a Hispanic education banquet on April 30, 2026 (staff encouraged members to RSVP), the athletic banquet on May 6 and the May board meeting on May 13. The chair said the district may present guaranteed maximum prices for the Hutchins project at an upcoming meeting to avoid calling a special meeting during Memorial Day week.
No formal votes were reported as resulting directly from the closed session; the board noted there were no action items to follow the closed session.
