The Elmwood Park School Board opened its meeting and announced it would not vote tonight on personnel agenda item A2, which the superintendent had proposed be replaced with a settlement agreement for employee number 4457 effective March 26, 2026. The board said the item was being pulled and would not be voted on at this session.
Board members then moved and approved the consent agenda in a series of roll-call votes. Personnel items PA1 through PL2 (pages 7–16) were moved and carried, followed by student items S1–S4 (pages 16–17) and general items G1–G2 (pages 17–23). The board approved the minutes from the Feb. 24 meeting (M1), then voted to adopt financial items F1–F8 (pages 24–28), BG1 and legal items L1–L6 (pages 29–30).
During the financial roll call one board member, identified in the transcript as Mr. Tisellano, announced a recusal on checks ending in 41123, 47 and 57. A separate recusal was also announced for additional check numbers later in the roll-call sequence. Apart from those recusals the motions passed by roll call with voting members recorded as voting yes.
No action was taken tonight on the pulled A2 settlement; board members indicated the item was being replaced on the agenda and that a date was needed before taking a vote. The board then opened the meeting to public comments and proceeded to board remarks and adjournment.
The board adjourned at about 7:17 p.m.
