ITD to host public meetings on US-95 corridor study; Best Western session March 26

An Idaho Transportation Department representative briefed the Moscow City Council on March 16 about an ongoing study of the US-95 corridor from Snow Road to the Benewah County line and announced public engagement opportunities.
The ITD presenter said in-person and online formats will let residents review multiple near-, mid- and long-term corridor concepts and speak directly with engineers. "There's a lot of different things on the table because we're looking at near-term, midterm, long-term solutions," the presenter said, and invited the public to an in-person meeting March 26 at the Best Western from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. An online public meeting will run March 19 through April 9.
Staff provided handouts at the council meeting and encouraged people to visit the project website and contact the project team with questions. The study team said some corridor projects are being coordinated with other ITIP projects and that a traffic-study approach will be used for State Highway 8 work to accelerate fundable safety projects.
