Brainerd City approves $4,725 annual Tyler accounts-payable upgrade to automate invoice approvals

Danny, who presented the proposal, said the module automates data entry and creates an electronic approval trail for department heads, replacing a largely paper-based routing process. He told commissioners the vendor estimated implementation within six weeks and that the additional $4,725 would be an ongoing annual maintenance cost.
Commissioners raised questions about integration with the city’s existing billing and software systems and about potential time-and-material conversion charges. Danny said the vendor’s sales representative indicated the $4,725 figure would cover the work and that the company will be on site to assist during implementation.
A motion to approve the upgrade and the additional annual cost was moved, seconded and carried by voice vote. Staff will implement the module and report on integration or unexpected conversion costs if they arise.
