Shad of Mobile Parks and Recreation said the team, founded in 2023, has won three consecutive gold medals and earned a spot at the USA Games; Lara Bell, who leads the initiative, and coaches named the athletes and coaches on the roster. The council urged residents to attend a pep rally and an exhibition game at the Dodge Community Center from 5 to 7 p.m. that evening and presented a certificate signed by the mayor and all seven council members.
Council members praised Parks and Recreation for the program’s statewide leadership and encouraged community support as the athletes represent the city and state at the national event.
