Planning board adopts routine minutes and carries West Essex Highlands review to Nov. 13

At the start of the Oct. 30 meeting the West Orange Planning Board completed roll call and moved to adopt routine business items. The board adopted resolution PB24‑12 (Estate of Burman) and multiple sets of draft minutes by roll‑call votes recorded on the public record as unanimous 'yes.'
Later in the evening the board continued the substantive application PB24‑01 (West Essex Highlands) to a special continuation hearing on Nov. 13, 2024 to allow exchange of supplemental materials and additional witness testimony. The board asked the applicant and the planning board’s environmental consultant to post supporting documents — including the consultant’s cited studies and foresters’ field notes — to the township website ahead of the continuation.
No final land‑use approvals were granted at the Oct. 30 meeting; the formal application review will resume on Nov. 13.
